Yes, this post is brought to you by good vibes and peaceful minds. There is still a lot more kool-aid to drink from my friends. Meditation however, is not all quite that it seems.
No, it’s not about sitting in silence for as long as you can. Or trying very hard to get your mind to point blank. Meditation is more than just a way of relaxing and unwinding. It’s a way to get to know yourself better.
There are different types of meditation: guided ones, chanting ones, hell I use cooking as a form of meditation where I focus solely on one thing at a time. Awareness is the key to all of them. Becoming aware of your surroundings but most importantly what’s going on in Casa Esperanza.
Create a sacred space for you. Where nothing can get to you. Burn some incense, I use Sandalwood, use a cushion or sit in a chair, put some relaxing music on. Close your eyes, take a deep breath, get yourself comfortable and tune in to yourself. “OM“is the natural vibration of the universe, connect yourself to the greater source of energy by softly chanting, gently becoming aware of your breathing, how good it feels to dedicate some time to yourself.. slowly.. let it all… go
