Isabella is the genius behind Taste of Wellness, she’s a certified health coach who’s daily recipes have us hitting the save button on repeat! Seriously, you’ll want to start a collection! So who’s the face behind the beautiful plates? Isabella herself tells us below!
AH: Tell us a little bit more about your healthy lifestyle journey.
ISABELLA: I am 23 years old and studied Economics and International Relations in Rollins College, in Florida. My journey to a healthier lifestyle began after I graduated from college. My eating habits were worrisome as I would constantly binge and was always hungry.
I knew something was off but didn’t really pay attention to it until I came back home to Honduras. I began cleaning up my diet and stumbled upon the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. I enrolled and became a certified Health Coach, transforming my eating habits and my lifestyle. I was able to look at food through different eyes, as medicine and as having power over our wellbeing.
I became more conscious of what and how I ate and I feel so much better, inside out. My weight was never the problem, since I only gained a few pounds during my college years. It really changed was my relationship with food. Today I can say I feel in control when eating and it’s mainly because I eat a well-balanced diet.

As I experimented more and more with healthy cooking I decided to open a food blog on Instagram and share my recipes and my journey. I usually share what I eat on a regular basis, balanced meals, breakfast ideas and healthy snacks or sweet treats. My objective with my Instagram page is to help others on their own health journeys to find easy, yet delicious recipes and food inspiration.

Taste of Wellness Go-To Breakfast
- 1 Cup Gluten Free Rolled Oats
- 1 Cup Milk of your choice (Almond Milk, Skim, Whole)
- 1 Tablespoon of Pure Maple Syrup
- 1 Teaspoon of Vanilla Extract
- 5 Sundried Figs
- 2 Tablespoons of Silvered Almonds
- 1 Tablespoon of Chocolate Covered Hemp Seeds
- Shaved Dark Chocolate for Garnish (Optional)
- In a Saucepan mix ingredients and cook oats on medium heat till milk is consumed, or until desired consistency.
- Top your oatmeal with your favorite fruits, nuts, and superfoods to add healthy fats and antioxidants to your breakfast.
