Treat Yourself To These, Gluten-Free, Activated Charcoal Pancakes!



elicious, fluffy and gut-friendly pancakes will change the way you think about breakfast! Adding a little activated charcoal can benefit your diet as it is known for removing unwanted substances in the body!


This fun recipe is a play on 50 Shades of Grey, just in time for Valentine’s Day! I’ve topped it with melted 100% dark chocolate and cacao nibs for a very luxurious feel!


Activated Charcoal Pancakes

  • Servings: 4

Activated Charcoal Pancakes


  • 1/2 cup gluten-free flour, sifted
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 tbsp of Stevia
  • 1/2 cup of unsweetened almond mil
  • 1/2 beaten egg
  • 1 tbsp of coconut oil
  • 1 tsp of pure vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp of coconut activated charcoal


1. Pancake griddle should be on low heat, wait for it to get warm.
2. Blend ingredients.
3. Using a 1/4 measuring cup, scoop batter and slowing start pouring unto griddle, form medium sized pancakes.
4. Once bubbles start to form, gently flip the pancake.
5. Add your favorite toppings and enjoy!
