ately it’s been very hard for me to conocentrate on trying out new recipes. Comfort food is not necessarily the healthiest so this was an attempt to make a cleaner version of a favorite of mine, brownies!
No grain, no gluten, no eggs and no dairy! These chocolatey, chewy goodies are like a warm embrace, without the guilt!
Vegan, Chewy, Garbanzo Brownies
Ingredients-½ cup of almond milk
-3 tablespoons flaxseed meal
-1 teaspoon vanilla extract
-¾ of packed light brown sugar
-⅓ cup vegetable oil
-⅔ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
-⅔ cup garbanzo flour
-1 teaspoon baking powder
-¼ teaspoon of kosher
1.Oven should be pre heated to 325F or 162 C, prep an 8 inch baking pan and line the pan leave some extra on the sides to be able to pull out easier, top with non stick cooking spray.
2.In a mixing bowl add ingredients, starting with dry first and then adding liquids.
3.Whisk using a spatula or using an electric mixer until the mixture is silky smooth.
4.Pour the batter on the pan and coat evenly. Put in the oven for 30-35 minutes until the center is done. To know use a toothpick, if it comes out clean, you know it is done.
5.Wait for it to cool before cutting it up, these will come out chewy so just cut with caution.
