Salads Are A Virtuous Lunch

Hello, do you have some time to talk about salads? Whether you liked them chopped, shredded, tossed, sans dressing, or soaked in some sort of vinagrette, there’s nothing fresher than eating salads specially when you’re trying to incorporate more colors and leafy greens into your life, because you are healthy-ish.

It’s always the best kind of challenge for me to turn something that is an all-time favorite but may not be the healthiest, consider the Asian Chicken Salad from Cheesecake Factory which can go over 500 calories (and we’re talking about the Skinnylicious version)!

Below I give this classic a healthy spin:

Sesame Salad

Sesame Salad

Ingredients

  • 1 small romaine, chopped
  • 1/2 purple cabbage chopped
  • 1 tsp of cilantro
  • 1/2 shredded carrot
  • 1/2 tbsp of sesame seeds
  • For the dressing:

  • 1 tbsp aminos sauce
  • 2 tsp toasted sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp white vinegar
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp sugar

Directions

  1. Combine ingredients in a mixing bowl, drizzle with lime juice and enjoy!
